Comment

It is north of Modena, Italy, in the fertile soil between the Secchia and Panaro rivers, that Lambrusco comes to life. Standard of Italian wine culture for many years, its reputation is well established, although it sometimes remains unknown to the general public. There are 12 varieties of this grape variety, all quite different, and giving wines with very specific and original characteristics. Almost all varieties are grown in Emilia-Romagna, a region in northeastern Italy. The Lambruscos from this region are protected by the DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) Dell’Emilia designation. Lambrusco is an Italian sparkling wine traditionally made red, it is now also produced in white and rosé. The term Amabile means Semi-Sec.

Tasting

This sweet and sparkling wine is ideal as an aperitif with an assortment of antipasti: small peppers stuffed with tuna or cheese, green olives with garlic, garlic confit with aromatic herbs, onions preserved with balsamic vinegar. You can also enjoy it as an accompaniment to a traditional stuffed tomato dish or an Italian salad garnished with raw ham, Bufala mozzarella and melon.
