Comment

The Piccini wine house, founded in 1882 by Angiolo Piccini in the heart of Chianti in Tuscany, is a family business which has been perpetuating know-how combining tradition and innovation for over 140 years. Known for its Chianti, Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino, it has established itself as one of the major players in the Tuscan vineyard, with wines present in many countries and appreciated for their authenticity and their expression of Italian terroirs. Also located in Maremma, a wild region in the south of Tuscany between preserved coasts and remarkable biodiversity, the Piccini family fully embodies the local identity, notably through vintages like this Vermentino, inspired by Martina, sister of Mario Piccini.

Tasting

Delicate pale pink color. Nose with a moderately intense bouquet, with floral notes of broom and rose, which give way to a mineral freshness. On the palate it is dry and moderately intense, with a medium structure that balances a pleasant creaminess. The subtle spiciness provided by Syrah adds complexity, enhancing the aromatic profile of the wine. The finish is tasty and refreshing, leaving a pleasant and lingering taste, like an invitation for another sip.
