Created in 1952 by Charles Brotte, the pope's vial arouses many legends. The vial is in fact from a competition of local ceramists whose very inspired theme was: "The wild movement of the vine in the mistral". Charles Brotte participates in this competition and wins the first prize by imagining a bottle that imitates the CEP of Grenache which grows under the constraint of the strong Provençal wind - the Mistral - which sweeps the region. Its anthracite golden powder is evokes the wines of yesteryear. He will then decide not to stop at the appearance of the bottle and imagine a unique cuvée whose whole earth will remember.
