The Haut-Médoc appellation is south of the Médoc appellation, it covers 4,741 hectares. It is one of the two components of the Médoc sub-region, which extends on the left bank of the Gironde from the gates of Bordeaux to the shore of the Atlantic. The Haut-Médoc appellation alternates serious and other clay-limestone soils. The climate is strongly influenced by the nearby ocean facade, it also benefits from the temperance of the Gironde water mass which borders it, avoiding too low temperatures in winter and too hot in summer. Thanks to an exceptional basement, made up of gravelly rumps, the great wines here are numerous. Haut-Médoc wines are wines with high care potential. Young people, they have a solid tannic side: some wines cannot taste for several years. They then offer a flexible and fleshy development and gives wines with complex aromatic bouquets of red fruit. A breeding in oak barrels provides roasting and leather aromas.

Tasting

An elegant and fruity wine that can be drinked as an aperitif and throughout the meal. It goes very well with all meat dishes in sauce, grills, cow's and sheep's milk cheeses.
