The Haut-Médoc appellation is located to the south of the Médoc appellation, it extends over 4,741 hectares. It is one of the two components of the Médoc sub-region, which extends on the left bank of the Gironde from the gates of Bordeaux to the shore of the Atlantic. The Haut-Médoc appellation alternates between gravelly and other clay-limestone soils. The climate is strongly influenced by the nearby ocean coast, it also benefits from the temperance of the body of water of the Gironde which borders it, avoiding temperatures that are too low in winter and too hot in summer. Thanks to an exceptional subsoil, made up of gravelly ridges, there are numerous great wines here. Haut-Médoc wines are wines with high aging potential. When young, they have a solid tannic side: certain wines cannot be tasted for several years. They then offer a supple and fleshy development and give wines with complex aromatic bouquets of red fruits. Aging in oak barrels brings aromas of roasting and leather.

Tasting

An elegant and fruity wine that can be drunk as an aperitif and throughout a meal. It goes very well with all meat dishes in sauce, grilled meats, cow's and sheep's milk cheeses.
