Mia was born from the passion of a young and talented oenologist, Gloria Collell, who wanted to create a sparkling wine that resembled her and reflected the spontaneity of her hometown, Barcelona. Helped in her work by Freixenet, a house with more than 150 years of know-how in the production of sparkling wines, Gloria was able to realize her dream by creating Mia, a range of sweet and light wines symbolizing the excitement of Barcelona. Made from aromatic grapes ripened in the Mediterranean sun, Mia wines are particularly fruity. A natural aromatic richness that comes from emblematic grape varieties such as Moscato or the Barcelona grape varieties Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada.

Tasting

A gourmet wine with notes of roses, lychee, and jammy red fruits. A delicate finish. To be enjoyed chilled, shaken or “On Ice”. Ideal as an aperitif to accompany sweet/savory tapas such as Manchego with figs.
