Barcelona Cava has been produced since the 19th century on the lands of Freixeneda, the “Ash Grove”, a large family property, bathed in sunshine and bordered by ash and oak trees. Cava can be enjoyed in the shade of the trees, while having lunch with friends, or during the hot, long summer evenings. A unique bubble is born. And a name: Freixenet. This is the start of success. Barcelona Cava is quickly exported all over the world. And the traditional family business gives birth to the 1st World Group producing sparkling wine.

Tasting

A classic cava made with equal parts Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada, typical of the Penedès region. Light yellow color with golden highlights. The medium bubbles form a beautiful crown. Fresh and pleasant nose, elegantly floral, with notes of fresh apple and subtle citrus impressions. Well structured and refreshing on the palate, with nicely balanced acidity and a very pleasant floral finish. The dosage liqueur is made from the same blend of grape varieties and matures for 12 months in oak barrels.
