Comment

Château Pape Clément, located in Pessac in the Bordeaux region, is one of the oldest wine estates in the region, with a history dating back to 1300. An emblematic property of the Bordeaux vineyards, it owes its name to one of its former owners, Bertrand de Goth, who became Pope Clément V. Classified Grand Cru in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the château is recognized for its elegant and complex wines, mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties, which are distinguished by their finesse and their exceptional aging potential.

Tasting

The wine is ruby red in color with good density, with brown, mahogany and tile highlights. Brilliance and clarity are preserved. The nose appears expressive, frank and complex at the same time. We note all kinds of families of scents: fruit, floral, and spices. The attack is frank, round and suave, even caressing. Intense aromas first recall the complex sensations perceived on the nose. There is a scent of leather and slightly burnt wood, with notes of roasting. The wine shows a beautiful aromatic amplitude, the finish is remarkably elegant.
