Family property for four generations, the Hignégravelier castle is located on magnificent hillsides at the edge of the Entre -deux - Mers, in the town of Saint -Martial, south of the Gironde. The vineyard extends over approximately 32 hectares of a single piece, planted on a clay -calier terroir, with an average age of vineyards around 20 years. The well -exposed hillsides ensure optimal sunshine, promoting a homogeneous and complete maturation of the grapes. The yields are deliberately controlled, cultural practices are part of a reasoned approach, and the conduct of the vine with a foliage maintained high allows better aromatic concentration. Vinification is conducted with respect for the Bordeaux tradition, while relying on modern equipment, in particular thermoregulation, to guarantee perfect control of fermentations and precise extraction of the aromas.

Tasting

To the eye, the dress has a beautiful deep color with ruby ​​reflections, testifying to a wine arrived at maturity. The nose opens with generous aromas of ripe red fruits and blackcurrants, with a subtly spicy touch. On the palate, the attack is ample and round, revealing notes of blackberry which underline the gourmet character of wine. The structure is balanced, the texture silky, and the whole extends on an elegant and harmonious finish.
