Comment

Founded in 1967, Vignobles Raguenot thrives thanks to the pioneering and visionary spirits of Lise and Philippe Raguenot. In 1997, their two daughters Emmanuelle and Marie-Pierre, associated with their respective husbands, Daren Miller and Eric Lallez, took over the Château des Tourtes vineyard in the Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, and a year later acquired the Château Haut Beyzac vineyard in the Haut-Médoc appellation, located on 35 hectares in the commune of Vertheuil. Rich in unusual geology with clay-limestone soil, it is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, the preferred grape variety of this terroir, Merlot and Petit Verdot. 100% scratching. Vatting 20 to 30 days. Temperature control. Malolactic fermentation. Wood breeding.

Tasting

Dark ruby color, very dense. Nose with notes of black fruits mixed with those of toasted wood (vanilla, toast). The powerful palate, with beautiful fullness, remains full-bodied with silky tannins giving the wine good aging potential. Beautiful aromatic notes on the palate, macerated fruit and balanced woodiness (licorice) combined with fresh notes (clove, menthol) give the wine unparalleled pleasure after a few years in the cellar. It will be very appreciated with red meats and dishes with sauce.
