Comment

The Pellé family has been operating the vineyard since 1840. Today, Denis Pellé has taken over since 1991 and represents the last generation. The estate, located 50km south-east of Bordeaux, covers a total surface area of 60 hectares, divided into three Châteaux; the Château de Jayle, the Château les Ancres, the Château Champs de Lucas which extend over the communes of Saint Martin de Sescas, Saint Martial, Saint Pierre d'Aurillac. The lands of these three Châteaux are essentially composed of loam-clay-sandy, loam-clay-loamy soils. The vines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sémillon and Sauvignon grape varieties. Vinification is carried out in the Bordeaux tradition, with modern tools such as thermoregulation, and regular pumping over to preserve all the aromas and maintain the tannic structure.

Tasting

On the nose, this pretty wine reveals floral aromas, blackberry jam, fresh fruit and spices. Fleshy and ample, it offers a delicious, very pleasant juice in the mouth. It will appreciate in its younger years. Drink with grilled meats, game, meats in sauce or with cheeses.
