In 1962, around fifty winegrowers from the villages of Baroville, Fontaine and Arconville, in the Côte des Bar, decided to join forces and founded a wine cooperative to pool the pressing activity. The Barfontarc brand was born quickly, its name – a nod to its roots – is composed of the first syllables of the 3 original villages. Due to its cooperative status, the Maison de Barfontarc benefits from a rich and varied supply of grapes, offering numerous compositional possibilities during blending and guaranteeing vintages of consistent quality. Concerned about respecting and preserving the land, it has naturally adopted a sustainable viticulture method for many years.

Tasting

A fruity, opulent and suave champagne. Pale yellow color, light foam, dense and regular effervescence. Pleasant, dense nose, of beautiful complexity with aromas of citrus fruits, white peaches, fruit paste and brioche. Full mouthfeel with good length. Notes of yellow and dried fruits.
