The cooperative cellar Les Celliers d'Orfée, located in the heart of the Corbières vineyard, is a historic structure founded in 1933 and considered one of the pioneers of the wine cooperative movement in France. With a solid organization bringing together numerous winegrowers, it has established itself today as the most awarded cellar in Corbières with 75 distinctions obtained in 2025, testifying to the recognized quality of its wines. Its know-how is expressed in particular through prestigious appellations such as AOP Corbières and Corbières Boutenac, while being part of a sustainable approach with HVE3 certification and the development of an organic range. Combining tradition, innovation and qualitative standards, Les Celliers d’Orfée thus embody an essential reference in the Languedoc wine region. Croix du Sud: Syrah and Grenache destemmed. Carbonic maceration for Carignan. Vatting for 15 days to extract a beautiful aromatic palette and aging in oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting

Pretty purple color with purplish reflections, limpid and brilliant. First intense nose marked by black fruits. Then come notes of spices such as clove. End of mouth with notes of sweet spices. Croix du Sud will go perfectly with a piece of beef with candied shallots, a moussaka or even a bull herd.
