Comment

The Médoc appellation is based on an exceptional terroir, shaped by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary, which moderate temperature variations and limit the risk of frost. Its soils are mainly made up of gravel (pebbles and gravel deposited by the Garonne over the centuries), offering optimal drainage and excellent heat retention, thus promoting gradual ripening of the grapes. There are also clay-limestone subsoils, which bring freshness and structure to the wines. This terroir allows the dominant grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, to express themselves fully, giving powerful, complex red wines designed for aging.

Tasting

A full-bodied, generous wine which, when tasted, offers a sensation of fullness. It has a beautiful aromatic palette which plays pleasantly on licorice and red and black fruits. With excellent aging potential, it develops with age a bouquet that combines animal touches, prune or cedar. Serve between 16 and 18°C.
